Mistletoe Mixup Series

MISTLETOE MIXUP

Evan Edwards faces another lonely Christmas in the dorm, so when he chances upon a rain-soaked ad for holiday room and board in exchange for decorating, he wastes no time in driving to the empty home, dreaming of a cozy, if lonely, Christmas.

Across the street, Rise’ Larkin is also home from school, and has some bad news for her Dad. As Evan and Rise’s friendship deepens, and Christmas nears, Evan discovers he’s been decorating the wrong house.

Will this mix-up ruin everything?

“As a pianist myself, I always wished I could play Chopin, but never mastered it. I love how Jody wove some Chopin into this story. Just adds to a delightful, positive story. I couldn’t put it down start to finish. I came away feeling like I knew Evan and Rise’ as friends. I love light romantic stories with a positive message, and this completely fills that description! Thanks, Jody Day!!” C. U.

MISTLETOE MISSES

Concert pianist Evan finally receives his big break. He’s on tour playing his passion and getting paid well to do it, he’s in love with a beautiful woman who just finished her own degree in nursing, and he’s about to propose in extravagant style. Even though their relationship has been long distance, he plans to go home and start his new life with her. But then, virus lockdown skews all his plans. Risé is working and living at a hospital with acutely ill patients. The precautions in place preclude any interaction with her family, with her friends, and with the man she is hoping will be her husband. How can he be, when no one knows how long this pandemic will last? Health protocols, full personal protection regalia, social distancing, and video-chatting aren’t enough. How can their relationship hold when the world is falling apart? With wise words from those who love them, Evan and Risé find that being apart is hard, but with God, all things are possible.

This part two of Mistletoe is a heartwarming story in which we return to the memorable characters we loved in the first book. It shows Rise and Evan navigating their relationship with each other and others during the global pandemic. We are also introduced to a character from Rises past who comes and makes things even more complicated. You will not be disappointed. It is a quick, must read with a beautiful ending! J. B.
